The Night of Destiny

Today Laylat al-Qadr, The Night of Destiny, is celebrated.
A very special day. This is the anniversary of the night Muslims believe the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the prophet Mohammad. This Holy day is a day of extra prayers, espescially at night. Angels come down to earth with the destiny of the people for the forthcoming year.
The beautiful smell of incense will be hanging heavy over Marrakech Medina as houses and riads are blessed, invoking good fortune for the coming year.
